Hello dear audience. Today’s podcast featuring Bettina Clark and me, Eduardo del Buey, focuses on the concept of Kairos, a moment in which we have a revelation or inspiration that wasn’t there before. If you enjoy the podcast and article, please invite your friends and colleagues to subscribe.

Kairos
by Eduardo del Buey
Have you ever had an AHA! moment?
A moment when everything seems to come together, to coalesce around a wish or desire you have had and makes it happen.
Do you ascribe this to coincidence or to some energy that has created that moment?
I have had many aha! moments in my life, and the correct term for this is Kairos.
The word kairos comes from an ancient Greek term translated as the “right time” or “opportune moment”.
Albert Einstein once said that everything in life is vibration.
In metaphysics, the Law of Vibration is always looking to match up people, things, and experiences that match your vibration. When you feel grateful and maintain that feeling, you raise your vibration, and you attract more to be thankful for. The Law of Attraction can bring to you only what you are matched up with.
Thus, we tend to attract the things that we need through our own vibratory discharges. These can be in the form of prayer, meditation, or any other form that we use to connect with our intuition or, if you are religious, our soul, and visualize our objective.
The soul or intuition is connected to the universal energy that many call God but is not in a religious way but, rather, in a highly spiritual way
I have had a number of Kairos moments that have fundamentally changed my life, beginning with my discovery at a very young age of a universe of energy within me that is always in contact with the energy of the universe without.
At first, I was confused by the many schools of esoteric spiritualism that used complex ideas and terms to explain their vision.
Nelson Mandela said that if you speak to someone in their language, it will go to their heart. This goes for actual language as well as for communicating concepts.
After much searching and discarding, someone dear to me gave me a simple book called Metaphysics for Everyone by Conny Mendez, a Venezuelan spiritualist.
In very simple language, she explains the basic laws of metaphysics in a fully comprehensible way that appealed to my common sense. She said, “don’t believe a word I say, simply believe in what you intuition tells you”.
Your intuition is your essence, and it is the fundamental driving force in your life. Learn to listen to it, and it will take you where you need to go. Not where you want to go, but where your soul needs to go.
As that great modern philosopher Mick Jagger has sung, “you can’t always get what you want, but if you try some time, you will find that you get what you need”.
And getting what you need is what life is all about.
Buddha said that when the student is ready, the master appears.
In my case, I have met a number of peoole in my life with whom I have shared a strong spiritual connection and who have helped me open doors within myself that contributed to my spiritual growth.
A Kairos moment.
What do you need to make a Kairos moment yours?
A number of elements come to mind.
You need to pay attention – the capacity to understand what is going on within you as well as outside of yourself, the capacity to identify when a connection is being offered, and a willingness to give yourself to the moment.
You need courage – the ability to stand up to your mind’s telling you that this cannot be and understand and accept the fact that your soul -- your intuition -- is beyond reason and thoughts.
In my opinion, Descartes was wrong when he said, “I think, therefor I am”. I believe in “I feel, therefor I think, therefor I am”
Your feeling is your intuition at work, and your intuition is your link to the universal energy.
Blaise Pascal once wrote that the heart has its reasons of which reason knows nothing.
Reason is of the mind; feeling is of the soul.
And I believe that the soul is the center of your power, not your mind. The mind can be molded and shaped in many different ways by whatever is the flavor of the day. The soul is constant and immutable.
My latest aha! moment came a few weeks ago when Bettina Clark and I engaged in what began as a simple conversation that quickly evolved into something much deeper. This has resulted in our cooperation in developing “Introspection” that we are now sharing with all of you.
A Kairos moment we believe in and that we hope will help you identify your Kairos moments and incorporate them into your spiritual growth.
